Altme: a Wallet for Digital Assets, an ID Holder, and a Storage for Loyalty Cards

Altme is a non-custodial blockchain wallet for assets and digital identity.
What is digital identity, why do we need it, and which projects use it? Keep reading to find out.
What Altme Can Do
Altme is available on Google Play and the App Store. After installation, you must create a new Tezos or Ethereum wallet or import an existing one. Altme supports importing passphrases and private keys, simple as that.
Altme also supports connecting to dApps on Tezos using Beacon. You need to scan the QR code and confirm the action on your smartphone. An ordinary wallet, were it not for the Cards tab.

The Gaming Cards section displays Tezos blockchain game loyalty cards: Tezotopia, Chainborn, Pigs at War, and others. To get them, you need to provide the applicable Identity Cards. For example, for the Tezotopia loyalty card, you must provide proof of country of residence and age. These can be obtained from Identity Cards.

The idea behind Identity Cards is to confirm your documents and personal data once and then provide digital copies to compliance services. This is at least more convenient than having to take a passport photo and take selfies every time.
Altme also supports proof-of-age cards for 13 and 18-year-olds. Perhaps with the mass adoption of Altme, websites will do away with the “Are you 18?” pop-up window boasting a big “Yes” button.
Testing Cards with a Digital ID
We confirmed the email address, passed the KYC, and got the cards in the wallet.

The cards themselves don’t show personal information, just the confirmation of the verification and KYC provider details.
We tried to get a Chainborn loyalty card, and it was easy. All we had to do to get it was to confirm the transfer of the card via mail and the Tezos address. We didn’t have to enter the postal address manually, nor did we have to confirm it with a verification code.
Then we tried the Tezotopia card. To get it, we had to confirm that the user was over 13 years old. Again, we didn’t have to scan the ID again, just confirm the transfer of the card.

Both loyalty cards offer in-game bonuses: 25% cash back on the Tezotopia marketplace and access to exclusive airdrops in Chainborn. Atlme developers plan to add cards for other blockchain games on Tezos.
Altme’s Prospects and Ideas About Digital Identity
While crypto-enthusiasts don’t like KYC, the cryptocurrency market is becoming increasingly regulated, and most centralized platforms require identity verification.
Mass adoption of Altme or a similar solution would make the user verification process far more convenient than manually entering and confirming first and last names, mail, phone numbers, and other details.
